Catchy song, huh? From their “Devils to Some, Angels to Others” album, it’s pretty rare for Fashion Bomb to play this for an unresponsive crowd. It’s hard not to get a little riled up during this song. The content is “edgy” for sure and could be taken on the surface as just another goth rock “anti-God” type of song. But if you’re smarter than that, you’d realize this song is more about being against the grain. It’s a protest and a decry against the hypocrisy of organized religion and its blind followers. What I take from it is that you should believe whatever you want, but turn off the blinders and open your mind past the superficial ignorance about being good or “a big man in the sky” is going to harm you. Last week it was announced that long time friends and Chicago natives, Fashion Bomb would be embarking on their first official US Tour. They’ll be joining Ill Nino and others on the 26 date US “Restore the Insanity” 2011 Tour. More than half of the dates have been announced already and more are still being released. So far they have Chicago, Michigan, LA, Texas, Louisiana, Massachusetts and some other states already announced. This is awesome for so many reasons. I am huge supporter of this band have been now for about five years. I have seen ups and downs and have stood by the entire time. I’m just a big fan of their music and they’re down to earth as they come. It’s great to see a project through and watch it grow. Fashion Bomb has achieved just about as much as any band can that hasn’t gone on their first US tour. They have played bigger festivals, headlined club dates in the Midwest, played support for national touring and platinum selling acts, got their albums sold globally in stores and online, and have made a reputation for themselves. But the only real way to get out there is to literally do just that… get out there. With this tour, they’re hitting up cities and areas that have asked for them to come for so long. It’s cool that people are going to be able to finally see what I’ve been saying for so long now. Fashion Bomb is awesome. I feel strongly enough about their work to spend months working on a documentary concert film on them. You can find the documentary HERE and you can find more information on Fashion Bomb at their official site HERE.
