Web Series Debut of "Maniak Moments" 7/27/10

We hope you enjoyed the first three episodes of “Nocturnal Emissions with Steven Thomas Darrell” as much as we had making them. Steven Thomas Darrell (Keith Evans) is the world’s most famous porn music composter of all time. During the peak of his career in the 1980’s, a local television station signed him to present his own late night talk show to compete with the major networks. What resulted was “Nocturnal Emissions with Steven Thomas Darrell”. The first three episodes feature just say no advocate “Harriet St. Peters”(Kate-Lynn Edwards), a soap opera star “Tiffany Mathis”(Emelia Zuckerman), and pop star “Farrah Shocka”(Lauren Knust) in three very different and very entertaining interviews.

We had originally intended to do a six episode season, and plan to fulfill that soon and release three all new episodes THIS FALL! The first three episodes of this 80’s Parody Talk Show along with some bonus material are now available in the “Web Series” section of DigitalLizardProductions.com. The material is a tad explicit at times, but from the feedback we’ve gotten it’s also pretty entertaining. Don’t take their lousy word for it, watch them and judge for yourself! CLICK HERE

In the meantime, we’re tapping the archives. As many people don’t know nor cared, Digital Lizard’s Michael Goodpaster, aka Mikey MiGo, once owned and promoted a Chicagoland independent professional wrestling company, MANIAK ENTERPRISE WRESTLING. In fact, a few faces from the Digital Lizard family were involved with the wrestling company as wrestlers themselves or an announcer in one case. “We were all REALLY too young to be doing what we did,” says MiGo about MEW, “but it was an experience that could not be replicated or traded for anything.” The company lasted from 2001 to 2004 and managed to hold about 15 or 16 live events before shutting down for good. A good amount of the performers would go to mature into MUCH better wrestlers in time and still wrestle to this day in local companies across the Midwest. Then some of those involved are not in the wrestling business at all anymore and have moved on to other avenues in their lives. One thing they all have in common is that at one point they were all “Maniakz”.
