Free web special proves local comedian to be his own worst critic in commentary of his first stand up special.
May 28th, 2014 – Lake Station, IN – In 2012 Digital Lizard Productions LLC released “Keith Evans: Local Hero”, a 41 minute standup comedy DVD starring Keith Evans and a hot crowd in Crown Point, Indiana. Evan’s first special was a success but he has since grown leaps and bounds as a performer and comedy writer. That’s what the new release “Local Hero: The Comedian Cut” examines and exposes.
Since even before his first stand-up special, Keith Evans has been transparent about his process, journey and evolution as a stand-up comedian. In film it’s common for the director and performers to participate in a commentary where they discuss a file while watching it. Often included as a “bonus feature” and is a simple bonus audio track to listen to while watching. In “Local Hero: The Comedian Cut” that concept is taken one step further.
“Essentially this is a rare opportunity to watch a comedy show with the comedian behind it. You get to experience watching Keith Evans while watching Keith Evans. It’s a cross between a director’s cut and ‘Mystery Science Theatre 3000’.” explained director Mike Goodpaster.

Keith Evans currently co-hosts the daily web show “First World Answers” and is preparing for his second stand-up comedy special.
