BY MIKEY MIGO
She had a normal childhood in Miami. Her dad was a car salesman and her mom is now a elementary school principal. She has two older sisters and an older brother, speaks Spanish, and dropped out of college to chase her dream of pursuing an acting career. This is one of those awesome stories where someone didn’t go the normal route as the 9 to 5 people out there, took a HUGE chance, and got where she wanted.
She worked her way up the ladder. She did auditioned and auditioned in order to get commercials, and then music videos, and then eventually some lower budget movies. If you feel like looking it up, you can find Eva from the 1997 Aerosmith video for “Hole in my Soul”. From there was the straight to video release of “Children of the Corn V”. All of this would be her basically paying her dues before the big roles started to come in. Then bam! She got a role in “Training Day” with Denzel Washington, lead roles in the comedy “Stuck On You”, and RoRo’s “Once Upon a Time in Mexico”. All of these roles were pretty good. I saw “Stuck On You” again recently and it was a bit more enjoyable than the first time I saw it. I think partly because of Eva. Then there’s “Hitch”, “2 Fast 2 Furious”, “Out of Time”, “Ghost Rider”, “We Own The Night”, “The Spirit”, and the upcoming “The Other Guys”.
She’s in a lot of movies, has her share of endorsements and spokesperson roles and is really becoming a bigger and bigger star with each project and appearance. She’s a very hot woman and knows how to flaunt it, but the truth be told it’s her talent that makes her that much hotter. Hot women are a dime a dozen, but ones with the charm and evolving acting talents like Eva are to be commended and celebrated. She’s living the dream and she’s earned every bit of it.
