Christina Applegate has had one of the coolest careers of all the current actresses out there. She’s still young and has plenty more left in her tank, but when you look back on her career thus far it’s hard not to think of how much she rocks. She grew up in Hollywood as her dad was a record executive and her mom was a singer and actress. As she grew into her acting chops she had guest appearances on shows like “Father Murphy”, “Charles in Charge”, “Silver Spoons”, and in 86 she even showed up on “Family Ties”. In 1987 she got the role of “Kelly Bundy” on “Married… with Children”. This would put her face and skills on TV for ten years. Her character on the show was a ditzy hot chick, but she was more than that. Applegate’s only real tie to “Kelly Bundy” is the fact that they’re both hot. In the years since and even while on the show, she proved she’s a very intelligent and witty person. She started in “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” and then appeared in other movies during this time. After “Married…” was cancelled she ended up getting her own show in 1998 called “Jesse”. It only lasted two years, but it was critically acclaimed and even got her a Golden Globe nomination for “Lead Actress in a Comedy”. She’d go on to have a pretty damn successful movie career. She’s been in “The Sweetest Thing”, “Wonderland”, “Employee of the Month”, and of course “Anchorman” to name a few. In 2009, her latest TV comedy “Samantha Who?” was cancelled but she’s coming back with a drama called “Everything Is Going to Be Just Fine” about Elizabeth Montgomery of Bewitched fame and her battle with cancer. I’m sure it’ll be very well done. Christina Applegate is just a very likeable person. She’s got great comedic timing, doesn’t take herself too seriously, and is always a welcomed pleasure on my screen be it movie or television.
