I won’t pretend to know a lot about Sara Bareilles other than she’s pretty and that she’s known for singing the hit track “Love Song”. Not to be confused with the classic tune by The Cure. I heard her single on TV somewhere, but never put much time or effort into paying attention to it. Then one day on YouTube I found myself looking for a good version of The Cure song of the same title and ended up coming across her song. And what do ya know, I dug it a lot. Her voice is strong and she puts some “oomph” and soul into her delivery. So in result of this admiration, I did some research. She went to UCLA and was involved in music and singing there. After school she played her way up like most real musicians. She did gigs at local bars, clubs, and anywhere she could. She slowly and surely got attention, got the opening gig on a Maroon 5, Marc Broussard, Aqualung, and Mika tours. Then she got on tour with James Blunt during his VH1 “You Oughta Know” tour and got A LOT of attention. This leads to her releasing the single “Love Song” and sky rocketing to being fairly well known. She’s gaining more and more success and fame with each appearance that comes and goes. Her new album is out soon and claiming she’s going to blow up bigger is a pretty safe bet.
