Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron is amazing. She has this thing about her that you just can’t f- with. Her acting ability is without question, but the way she does it is with so much grace and ease that you’d think acting and performing were easy. She transforms into her roles with so much ease that it’s actually kind of hard to really pin point who “Charlize Theron” is. To me, she’s every character she’s ever played. She was born in South Africa, had a rough upbringing but still stayed focus on making something of herself. At 16 she traveled to Milan after winning a one year modeling contract in a local competition. She went to New York and pretty much never left the US from there. She took ballet classes at first and was coming far in her training but a knee injury would end that dream. She then moved to LA and got involved with acting. She struggled at first, but by the last 90’s she was a huge success with roles in “The Devil’s Advocate”, “Mighty Joe Young”, and “The Cider House Rules”. It would be the 2003 role portraying real like serial killer in “Monster”. Roger Ebert deemed it as “one of the greatest performances in the history of cinema” and an Oscar, Golden Globe, and SAG award would agree with that. It wouldn’t end there. She’d rock her small role in the TV show “Arrested Development”, make “Hancock” with Will Smith, become a UN Messenger of Peace, and do a lot of charity. She has about a half dozen movies in various stages of production to come out in the next few years. Being only in her mid-30s, Charlize Theron is on her way to being one of the best and downright coolest actresses of this generation.
