"4 Facts: Jason Segel"

BY MICHAEL GOODPASTER

(FOUR) MANY TALENTS
The dude can act, obviously. He has been in some awesome movies and has some memorable roles thus far in his early career. If he’s not cast as a Ghostbuster someday then the world isn’t as right as I imagined. He’s just a likeable bro-ham. Outside of acting, he writes and rocks the music. He wrote Forgetting Sarah Marshall and some future stuff. He’s a musician as well. He plays piano, did the music for the Sarah Marshall movie, co-wrote music for Get Him To The Greek, rocked drums in Freaks and Geeks, and has performed in other places when the opportunity is provided. I’m pretty sure he’s good at more things than this.

(THREE) CHAMPION
Since the dude is so tall, 6’4” to be exact, it’s only natural that he’d play basketball. He not only lived this assumption, but dominated. He helped his Harvard-Westlake High School team go on to win the California state championship. I bet he had a mean sky hook.

(TWO) AWESOME GUEST
Jason Segel has been on a million talk shows and have rocked them all. He is an ordained minister as seen on the Tonight Show. He is a minster with the Universal Life Church and used this power to marry the Woods in July of 2010. That’s pretty awesome, but then we tack on his appearance on the 1000th episode of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson it’s madness. On this monumental episode, Mr. Segel performed his hit “Dracula’s Lament”. This stuff is just too awesome and you don’t see Joel McHale going that far with his spots. Not even close. Shame on Joel McHale!

(ONE) MUPPET LOVE
Speaking of his hit song “Dracula’s Lament”. “The Seg”, that’s what his homies call him, loves him some puppets. In Forgetting Sarah Marshall he had a Dracula puppet show going on in there. It rocked and was hilarious. The puppets uses were custom-made by the Jim Henson people. A relationship was formed and The Seg then pitched a new Muppet movie idea to them. They were game and this is all going down soon. Can’t wait.
