"4 Things I Miss V.6"

(FOUR) CRYSTAL CLEAR PEPSI
I only miss it because I don’t feel like I got to fully experience it. I do remember getting to drink some as a kid, but I don’t think my parents bought it more than twice. This seems to be the case for most folk out there though. My main beef with this pop is that I’m curious to how mixing it with rum or other booze would taste and look. It may be horrible, but I am experimental and would accept this risk.

(THREE) CAMP CANDY
I did some soul searching on this one. I was 6 or so when this show came on, but I do remember its awesomeness. From 1989 to 1991, the late great John Candy had a cartoon about camping. He was a camp counselor in the past so this was supposed to be based on his own experiences. I won’t ramble too much about it, but I just know I liked it. I’d love to see it again for retrospective shits and/or giggles. RIP Mr. Candy, you are still missed.

(TWO) ALAN THICKE
Canada has given us many things, but none so perfect as thee Alan Thicke. As “Dr. Jason Seaver”, he was a great dad. He stayed at home, provided very well for his family, he let just enough hijinks get past him, and you just know he and “Maggie Malone” were doing so many dirty things in that bed room. Their bed room was nice, but there was just too much storage space around it for there not to be a ball gag or two. Bonus points for being the dude who sung the “Diff’rent Strokes” theme!

(ONE) ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?
In the early to mid 90’s, kids had only a few horror options outside of the PG/R realm of things. We had Goosebump books and the TV series, but if you’re like me, then you thought those were kind of lame (despite the fact I want to read them NOW!)… “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” was the shit. The “Midnight Society” gets together, tells their ghost stories or scary stories and all is good in the world. Why doesn’t Nick do a NickClassic or something to show old shows like this, “Salute Your Shorts”, “Pete and Pete”, and even the greatly inferior “Hey Dude!”? I want royalties.
