"4 Creepiest Anthony Hopkins Films"
01/28/11
BY MICHAEL GOODPASTER

(FOUR) DRACULA
He’s not even the freakin’ vampire in this. Hopkins plays “Van Helsing”, but still manages to come off really creepy. He played very well off the other characters and his performance is really slept on when talking about this 1992 gem.

(THREE) TITUS
The cover and poster kind of creep me out. It’s Hopkins in a helmet with his face and the helmet being covered in blue paint. I don’t know why, but that always struck me as uncomfortable. In this adaptation of Shakespeare’s tragedy is a really underrated movie.

(TWO) FREEJACK
You know, what? Screw you. I can’t NOT include this cheesy 1992 sci-fi classic. We have Emilio Estevez, Mick Jagger, Rene Russo, and the awesome Anthony Hopkins. I’m sure most people have forgotten about this movie, but he is such a good evil villain. Even in this cheese fest, his performance brings a small level of class to what should really be a cult classic.

(ONE) THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS
Was there ANY doubt? Hannibal Lecter is one of the most iconic movie killers of all time. It’s hard for me to look at him in other movies and not thinking about his stellar performance. This is one of those situations where he deserved acclaim and success and got both. The movie went on to gain huge success financially, it’s very much critically acclaimed, and it ended up getting a well full of awards. Rightfully so.
