"4 Facts: Neil Patrick Harris"

(FOUR) STONER ICON
Through the magic of modern cinema, Neil Patrick Harris has become some sort of stoner icon. Playing a drugged out exaggerated and insane version of himself in Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle and Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, he has blown some minds. It’s just he wasn’t someone you’d expect to pop up in a movie and for most people, like myself, seeing him here was the first time seeing him in a long time. If you were around when Doogie Howser was on you can’t help but have fond memories of it. So all of this, weed, and the sheer awesomeness that is the charismatic monster named Neil Patrick Harris made it work.

(THREE) AWARDS
As a youth he was nominated for a few Golden Globes, but in 2007 he started raking them in. He was nominated for a million awards and in 2009 he started winning and winning. He took home awards for his web series work, his How I Met Your Mother stuff, his guest spot on Glee, a Tony!, A Spike Video Game Award, and a People’s Choice. The dude keeps winning and it’s not going to stop because he’s in more and more places and his quality of work is not going down at all.

(TWO) A VOICE
He did voice work in 2010’s animated feature “Batman: Under the Red Hood”. His vocals are on video games like Saints Row 2, Rock of the Dead, and the newish Spider-Man:Shattered Dreams as Peter Parker himself. This is all new though, but his back work of voice acting is insanely cool. He was on The Simpsons in 1991, he was in Captain Planet as Todd Andrews in 1992, he did Justice League, Spider-Man: The New Animated Series, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Batman: The Brave and The Bold, and the recent Penquins of Madagascar. I dare say his voice has been in more productions than his face. Either way, his voice work is still cooler than most people’s lifelong body of complete work.

(ONE) MAGICIAN
He’s not only magic on the screen, but Neil Patrick Harris is a magician in a literal sense. He has been a fan of magic for quite some time now. He is on the Board of Directors of Hollywood’s Magic Castle and has won awards for his skills. He has put his own illusions on display on his Emmy-winning performance on Glee. They even wrote love for magic into his character on How I Met Your Mother.
