"4 Guilty Pleasures: TV"

(FOUR) TOSH.0
I’m not a fan of Daniel Tosh. He bothers me. His show is a rip off of The Soup. Hell I remember VH1 and Comedy Central doing the same type of shows like five years ago. Remember Bob Saget and America’s Funniest Home Videos? Yeah, replace home video with YouTube and replace Bob Saget with a sassier version of Dane Cook. It’s the same crap recycled over and over again. It’s been done so many times that it’s fresh again. This show proves there is something timeless about nut shots and puke spots. It’s already getting old, but there is still an occasional gem in there. If anything it’s more consistent than most shows people go ga-ga over.

(THREE) AMERICAN PICKERS
For those who don’t know, this show is about two dudes in a van who drive around buying people’s old junk and reselling it to rich people for profit. It’s a fun show. I’ve always enjoyed being a thrifty person. I like odds and ends and cool randomness. These dudes do too. They’re not too shady or anything either. There was an episode where they got way more money than they expected for some circus banners. They turned around and went back and split the profits with the man they bought them from. They’re classy dudes and the show is interesting. There’s a lot worse on TV than this.

(TWO) EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND
I never watched this show when it was on. In fact, I’d probably mock anyone who did. Until How I Met Your Mother changed the world, I just wouldn’t watch a CBS show. It’s a channel for old people and people that are really dim. When the show went into syndication I was held hostage. It was either move and exert myself to change the channel or be forced to watch a few minutes of the show. Before I know it, I’m in. I think I’ve seen every episode two or three times by now.

(ONE) THE VIEW
Yeah, so what? I’ve openly been a fan of The View now for over five years now. Meredith was still around for awhile when I started watching, but as time went on I saw her, Star Jones, and Rosie come and go. I think I like this current lineup best. We have Barbara, Whoopi, Joy, Sherri, and Elizabeth. Five different personalities going at it for an hour a day. Most people my are watch The Dailey Show for news, but I prefer The View. What’s better than waking up at 10AM, drinking coffee, checking email, and listening to Elizabeth Hasslebeck crying about someone insulting one of Sarah Palin’s dresses?
