(FOUR) GREAT SHOWS
We know Jeffrey Tambor was on “Arrested Development” and “The Larry Sanders Show”. If you don’t, then you’re missing out on two of the best comedies of all time. Yes, all time. But we should also take note that he was on “Three’s Company”, “The Ropers”, “MASH”, “The Golden Girls”, and other classic television. If you have a good enough cable plan you can STILL see Tambor at least once a day.
(THREE) COOL MOVIES
Jeffrey Tambor isn’t a big movie star, but the movie appearances he has made rocks. He’s in a lot of really underrated movies like Three O’Clock High, Meet Joe Black, Malibu’s Most Wanted, Scorched, EuroTrip, Life Stinks, Teaching Mrs. Tingle, The Invention of Lying, and more. It’s not so much like big big movies, but the ones that you’ll watch on a Sunday afternoon on basic cable. Good stuff. They’re like the comfort food of movies.
(TWO) DR. JEFF
Look at his “Hank Kingsley” character from “The Larry Sanders Show”. He looks exactly like Dr. Phil. Tambor has admitted to the resemblance, but it’s all in the height. Dr. Phil is a monstrous six foot four and Tambor is only a measly six one. So yeah… if you’re not sure which one to beat up I suggest using a ruler and if you’re looking for Dr. Phil use a chair.
(ONE) NOT A SCIENTOLOGIST
Normally someone’s religion isn’t a news item. I guess the newer religions like scientology and the one with the red string are more of a news item, but it’s fading off. People can believe whatever they want. If they’re happy, good. Still a few years ago there was a news report and rumors out there that Tambor was a scientologist. We would later learn that he did take some classes and gave it a shot. It wasn’t for him. You can’t say he’s not open-minded.
