(FOUR) WEEDS
So I’ve heard that Weeds are going to fast forward three years into the future for their seventh season. The whole situation at the end of the last season was amazing. It was ballsy and very well done. The show has been suffering for the past few years. It went south as the show went south. The fact they dropped the progression to sneak ahead sucks. I think we WANTED to see the trial. It would have been a beautiful way to bring back the old characters we miss and loved for the cameos. I think they’re cheating and lack any real balls. It’s going to be getting back out there and dealing again…. Yawn. I’m hopeful, but not optimistic in the least bit.

(THREE) ENTOURAGE
For like what? 6 or 8 episodes? Entourage makes it really hard to love it. Non-fans are quick to say these characters have always been douche bags, but fans know better. I enjoyed it for many years and I still do, but it’s not the same. It lacks the same heart of the first seasons. Everyone pretty much became jaded douche bags. I like the new drugged out storyline with Vince, but I think it’s like two or even three seasons late. I think we all want to see him make a good humble comeback, but a half season and a movie might not be enough for the journey to matter. I still have an invested interested in the characters and storylines. I’m excited to see where things go and I’m thinking I’m being reluctant because I don’t want to get my hopes back up.

(TWO) TRUE BLOOD
I would almost put this at number one, but I just can’t get behind fairies. I’m open minded to the vampires, the werewolves, the werejaguars, the shape shifters, the black magic, and all that stuff. The mythology used in the show is amazing. I still think season two was the best so far, but I have never left a Trueblood season feeling like my time was wasted. I end up watching each episode of True Blood like three times before it’s said and done. I think this is one of the best shows on television. I know the whole “vampire craze” makes this show an easy target for lameos to call it a “trend”. Whatever. It’s better than anything you like. Well, except maybe…

(ONE) BREAKING BAD
The best show on television needs to be back already! Breaking Bad has the most intense storylines on television, great writing, and spectacular acting. Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and the rest of the cast hold NOTHING back. This isn’t even on a “Premium Channel”. It’s AMC, a channel that’s pretty much universally “basic cable”. Sure we don’t see any nudity, get any uncensored f-bombs, and the like. But it’s close and the art that’s on the screen overcomes you and you don’t even notice. It’s one of the darkest shows I’ve ever seen and there was a point in the last season where I literally LEAPED out of my bed and onto my feet. It’s THAT intense and that thrilling. I can’t wait.
