(FOUR) THE BENADRYL BROWNIE
I never really cared for Richard Lewis until watching this show. He’s pretty damn funny and plays off Larry as good as anyone else on the show has. In this one, Richard’s girlfriend ends up eating something at Larry’s and she has an allergic reaction. This means she can’t attend a big event, but she still wants to go despite having a swollen face. The twist is that she’s a “Christian Scientist” and cannot take medicine. Larry and Richard conspire and get her to eat browns with Benadryl in them. Great stuff!

(THREE) THE GRAND OPENING
The season three finale was great. The storyline for that year was that Larry was investing in a restaurant with a group of oddball celebrities. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. The opening of the restaurant was no different. The chef they end up with has a really loud case of Tourettes. The high class customers sit there uncomfortable as the man starts letting loose with vulgarities. In a great moment Larry joins in and starts cursing up a storm himself to take the attention off the poor guy. I really liked this episode because it always felt like Larry got himself into bullshit while still being a good guy underneath it all. In this one, he gets to play the hero and he wore it well.

(TWO) THE BARE MIDRIFF
This is from the most recent season. You’d think I’d include one of the Seinfeld show episodes. They were great, but this one was my favorite of the season. Larry and Jerry are planning out the show and are distracted by their assistant. She’s on the chunky side, but wears bare midriff shirts and shows off a pretty bad muffin top. They fire her, but have to go back on it. Larry goes to her house to apologize and ends up getting pee on an image of Jesus in her bathroom. The girl and her mother believe it’s a miracle. Hilarity ensued. The pay off at the end almost made me “miracle” all over myself.

(ONE) THE CAR POOL LANE
This is the episode that turned me from a casual fan to someone who had to sit down and watch the entire series from front to back. Larry’s dad has problems with his eyes so Larry attempts to get him some medicinal marijuana from the streets. That was hilarious. Then he keeps it his old Seinfeld jacket, goes to a Dodgers game, picks up a hooker, and gets stoned at the end. Larry David staring at himself in the mirror while being stoned is one of the best moments in television history. If you can only watch ONE episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, this is it!
