"4 Ideal SNL Hosts 2011"

BY MICHAEL GOODPASTER

(FOUR) WHITNEY CUMMINGS
Why not? She’s a hot comedian right now and NBC is putting in a lot of ad time on her new show. You’d think they’d push for it to happen to rake in all the cross-streamed revenue. On a business front it makes perfect sense. In a comedic front, I think she’d do awesome on the show. She’s funny as hell and the show hasn’t had a strong edged female in a long time. She’s like Tina Fey, but she’ll spit on you and call your grandmother the “c” word. At least, that’s how I like to think of her. *swoon*

(THREE) AZIZ ANSARI
I’ve said this before, but Aziz is the freshest funny man out there. His recent stand up work has been amazing. He’s coming in and rocking it. He’s getting more and more movie roles and has a big supporting role on Parks and Recreation. I’d love to see him in a stand up environment. He used to do weird off the wall sketch comedy with Human Giant, but this would be different and almost 99% awesome.

(TWO) RASHIDA JONES
Oh no, Mike! You can’t have two people from the same show on SNL! That’s insane! What-ev’s! Rashida Jones is an awesome up and coming actress. She has worked with a lot of the SNL people already in movies and other projects, but a full on hosting gig would rock. She’s cute, she’s funny, and she just so happens to be on one of NBC’s big Thursday shows. We’ve seen her do a lot of things, but with SNL we’d get to see her go that extra step into comedy that we’ve not seen. Basically, she’s a great “straight man” but I want her to go nuts. Plus, she can get tips from Amy Poehler and Aziz Ansari (he should be on before her)!

(ONE) ADAM SANDLER
I don’t know if Sandler is just too busy, if he holds a grudge for being fired, or if they just haven’t asked but why in the hell hasn’t Adam Sandler hosted SNL? He’s one of the most successful comedic actors of all time that just so happened to get his start on SNL. He obviously values his time at SNL because he still makes movies with the friends he made there. A lot of people think he’s lost his edge and is content with making sappy kids and kid-like movies, but I’m sure there’s still a little Canteen Boy in there. I’m not like a superfan of the dude. I watch his movies, I enjoy a good percentage of them, and I always hope for the best. Adam Sandler seems like a cool guy, but he’d be a lot cooler if he popped up in a Digital Short.
