"Top 4 Bush Singles"
09/20/11
BY MICHAEL GOODPASTER

(FOUR) COMEDOWN
This was the big break through hit for the band. I think it set a pretty high bar for the band. I’m not the type that’d say he’s a HUGE Bush fan, but I do enjoy a few songs. I put some thought into it and apparently all of the Bush songs I like are from the first album or two.

(THREE) THE CHEMICALS BETWEEN US
I remember hearing this in 1999 when it came out. Bush’s glory days were sorta over, but this song was still pretty good. It gave me a sense of false hope that they’d be awesome again. I was wrong. It was pretty much just this song.

(TWO) MACHINEHEAD
This was one of like fourteen singles on the “Sixteen Stone” album. I’m only slightly exaggerating that. Grunge was fading out and needed a poppy face to carry it’s dignity to the discount bin. Bands like Bush did that. I know that sounds harsh, but I still liked the album or two during this time frame. Machinehead is a good drunk song.

(ONE) GLYCERINE
I’m still pretty sure this song is about mouth wash. It sounds like the other Bush songs, but it’s the best of them all. I don’t know what else to say. It’s the best song about mouth wash of all time.
