(FOUR) SOFIA LOPEZ
The show had a weird start. It took awhile to really get going for me. They had a lot of bizarre stuff and distinct characters to really set up. The tone was off. I could tell they were going to do some weird things and cover taboo topics, but the first Sofia Lopez episode set the bar. It set up the tone, the taboos, the heart, and the possibilities. I always thought they should have had Sofia’s complete sex change featured and sprinkled in the entire series over time. It didn’t happen, but the episode really set up the show.

(THREE) DAWN BUDGE
Rosie O’Donnell isn’t someone I’d typically rave over. I enjoy her as a person. She was fun on The View and she seems like a down to earth funny lady. Her performing is just not my cup of tea. She’s the same thing in every role I’ve seen her in. What’s the difference between her in A League of Their Own and her character here besides setting and costume? It’s the same personality. I really liked her as “Dawn” on the show and with this being her first episode it stands out to me. Meanwhile, Matt STILL won’t quit Scientology.

(TWO) JOEL SEBBROOK
They jumped the shark about a million times before this. It’s season six and the show is about six episodes left. They took the show in a completely different direction with this one. Christian starts getting into auto-erotic asphyxiation. Meanwhile, the ending is craaazy. Kimber is with Mike (Mario Lopez) on his boat and just jumps off in the middle of the ocean. After all the horrible situations she found and put herself in she had enough. You just didn’t expect it. This far in, you’re taught to expect the unexpected. Even then, it’s shocking and startling. This would set up the end of the show decently enough.

(ONE) CANDY RICHARDS
This show shocked me time and time again. It became a game to me. When some crazy plot twist would happen I’d be shocked, but I’d still mock the screen by dramatically saying “and the plot thickens!” During the last moments of this episode, I didn’t say this. I was left jaw ajar and eyes widened. Colleen, played amazingly by Sharon Gless, established herself as a crazy crazy chick. She then popped up and, from what I thought, stabbed and killed Sean. That’s the big one, but then Julia was just shot and Jennifer Coolidge brings the comedy relief. Some folks say the early season were the best and the show was too far out there, but at this point this episode was perfect.
