4 People Ready 2 Blow Up
11/23/11
BY MICHAEL GOODPASTER

(FOUR) HANNIBAL BURESS
He’s almost too quiet. He has had stuff on Comedy Central, popped up on Louie, released an album, wrote for SNL for a year, writes for 30 Rock, and still hosts a weekly stand up show in Brooklyn. Louie CK is a big fan of his and he’s not alone. Hannibal is becoming one of the bigger rising comedians out there and with the writing creds he’s not going to have a hard time finding work. I just can’t wait to see a project get made that centers around him. THAT is what NBC needs.

(THREE) CHARLIE DAY
He’s getting there. He’s gotten to host SNL, he keeps getting movie roles, and It’s Always Sunny is like officially “THE” show. He’s hilarious. He’s just now getting the attention and love from people that haven’t been Sunny fans all this time. It’s weird because if you’re a fan like me then you have a hard time separating Charlie from Mac, Dennis, Frank, and Dee. They’re like a package deal. So when I see Charlie out there it makes me a little weirded out at start, but he carries his own quite nicely. He’s that one big leading role away from being a household name.

(TWO) TJ MILLER
I used to make fun of TJ Miller. Not in a personal way though at all. I enjoyed his stand up and he’s fun in the stuff I’ve seen him in. It’s just people in Chicago name drop him in really sleazy ways. So whenever I’d hear his name I’d laugh at THOSE people. In recent weeks I’ve watched more of his stand up and took into account the stuff I’ve seen him in. He’s awesome. I listened to two interviews with him in the past few weeks and it was entertaining as hell. He’s cool and into nerdy things so the alternative comedy people like him, hipsters like him, and then he’s got that wacky charm that makes him accessible and likeable to pretty much anyone. People are going to be on the TJ Miller bandwagon like REALLY soon. Wait for it. It’s going to be a Aziz/Donald Glover/Reggie Watts kind of boom…

(ONE) BILL HADER
He’s already out there a lot. He’s had TONS of awesome performances and seems to be popping up more and more. The dude is the funniest and best cast member of SNL since Will Ferrell. He’s one of those guys that could have fit in to ANY era of SNL and strived. He keeps getting smaller roles, but I think it’s about time for him to get a headliner gig. I like Jason Sudekis so saying this isn’t meant to be mean, but if HE can do it and have success I see no reason Bill Hader can’t. When he gets the right role he’s going to blow up even bigger. He’s going to be HUGE.
