Top 4 SNL Dream Duos

(FOUR) CHASE/SPADE
Chevy Chase was the first sarcastic smart ass. He was great in the short time he was on the show and really set the bar high. He just had this verbalization skill that made him come off smarter than everyone in the room. Is it arrogance? Confidence? Fun? Yes. Yes. Yes. Spade falls in the same style. He was there during one of the golden ages and had some great spots. I’d love to see Spade and Chase sit next to each other having a like-able dick contest. Dennis Miller can ref it.

(THREE) RADNER/FEY
I think it’s safe to say that the two most impactful female cast members in SNL history are Gilda Radner and Tina Fey. Radner passed on WAY too early, but trailblazed and revolutionized SNL’s female approach and really, female comedy in general. What did Fey do? Yeah… pretty much the same thing. She showed up and really pushed the envelope of sex equality farther than anyone that has came before her. All of the good “you go girlfriend” stuff aside, these are two funny females. Like I said, I know Radner passed on but her work is STILL funny. She’s an icon and I wish she’s get even more love.

(TWO) BELUSHI/FERRELL
This would be number one on most people’s list. I can totally see that and respect that. John Belushi was one of the greatest of all time. His timing, his physical comedy, his stage and screen presence was just so larger than life, while STILL relatable on a personal level. Will Ferrell too. These two guys have this over the top and old school approach. They’re BIG characters and have some of the biggest comedies and characters of all time. You have to hold them in the highest of regards, but you still feel like they’d be fun and cool to hang out with. These guys are magic.

(ONE) MURPHY/FARLEY
This is a little crazy, but imagine how outstanding a movie or even a sketch with the sharp witted, sharp tongued, hilariously twisted Eddie Murphy and the over the top, loud, charming, and big physical Chris Farley would be. I can’t help but imagine how beautiful the art would have been if these two worked together. They’re pretty much as opposite as they come, but I can’t help but think they’d love the hell out of each other. Imagine a buddy cop movie, a road trip movie, a crime caper,… hell, ANYTHING. I really miss Farley.
