(FOUR) HOT TUB TIME MACHINE
This movie is massively underrated. It was easily one of the best adult comedies to come out in a long time. By that I don’t mean the normal poppy-snark humor that got old quickly, but it lingers. It’d be awesome to see this show on a Comedy Central or somewhere it could have room to breathe. A cartoon where three middle aged guys and a teenager use a hot tub to time travel every week would be sick.
(THREE) LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU
Bill Murray’s Steve Zissou character is too amazing not to have some sort of return. The whole staff was great in fact. I’d love to see a cartoon where it would be the random sea adventures of Zissou and the crew. It could be educational too. The 28 year old guy in me wants to say have it be R-Rated, but if it were a single G or TV-7 type of show I’d still be excited.
(TWO) HAROLD AND KUMAR
This would have been great. A well done Harold and Kumar animated series on say HBO or even FX would be great. A stoner slacker cartoon? Yes please. There is so much they could do with this kind of idea. I’m sure Neal Patrick Harris would have no problem lending his voice for the show. I seriously can’t think of any reason this show wouldn’t work out well.
(ONE) ANCHOR MAN
It’s been forever since Napoleon Dynamite so why not this? This is a dream of course. I’m sure they couldn’t get the cast together for a weekly series. It’s still a great idea. Hell, at this point I’d be more than content with an animated sequel. Who’s with me?! This would solve A LOT of problems.
