(FOUR) CANADIAN ROOTS
I had no idea Ryan Reynolds was a Canadian. He was born and raised in Vancouver. He graduated from Kitsilano Secondary School in 1994. He was in college at Kwantlen Polytechnic, but dropped out. He would get in some gigs in Canada before moving. He started acting in 1990 in a teen-soap called “Hillside”. In 2002 he even dated fellow Canadian Alanis Morissette. They were engaged and set to be Mr. and Mrs. Awesome Canada, but they ended up breaking it off.
(THREE) TV ROOTS
He was on that Canadian show, but it didn’t end there. I remember first seeing him on Two Guys A Girl and a Pizza Place. He was a lead on the show and made it way better than it deserved to be. He’d also pop up on The Odyssey, The Outer Limits, X-Files, Scrubs, My Boys, Family Guy, and even SNL.
(TWO) SMALL RANDOM ROLES
Ryan Reynolds is an A-List performer. He could stick to blockbusters and romcoms and make his money all day. He still takes on small random movies and independent projects because of his love for acting and the arts. Don’t believe me? (ONE) LUCKY
The dude is lucky. He’s been blessed with tons of good genes. He gets big movies roles, he takes on cool smaller roles, he dates awesome chicks like Alanis Morissette, Scarlett Johansson, and Blake Lively. People named him “Sexiest Man Alive” in 2010, but he’s been on the list since 2008 and continues to be on it. You want to dislike him for all his accomplishments and rewards, but he’s just a likeable guy and you can’t help but cheer him on.
