4 Things I Don’t Get V.30

(FOUR) ANIME
I’m all for there being various styles of drawing and art. My problem is that the anime style of drawing has become more of a trend than a trait. It got really popular and then faded into it’s own obscure branch of the tree that is nerd. I love animation. I love art. I just don’t get the appeal of anime. I don’t find any appeal in how it looks. The “animation” part is choppy and weird. Give me Simpsons, Hannah Barbara, WB, and the classics. I don’t need big eyes, cheap smiles, and girlie giggles. The things I’ve heard anime artists do with octopus and tentacles is just sick.

(THREE) METROSEXUAL FASHION NAZIS
If you’re not a gay man then why would you care what other men are wearing? I’ve heard a lot of conversations over the past few years of other men talking smack about what another guy is wearing. Does it matter if a shirt is too big as long as it’s covering them and their happy? Do jeans have to hug one’s nuts for them to be socially acceptable at the latest hooka bar? Sometimes a dragon pattern button up, warm up pants, ear muffs, and a pair of sandals is all you need.

(TWO) PRO WRESTLING GEAR
I know tradition and all that shit, but this doesn’t make sense. Professional Wrestling is supposed to be a display of athletic entertainment. Why do wrestlers HAVE to wear tights, boots, and all of that? I know it’s been that way forever, but why not evolve that a bit? For a sport that’s supposed to ooze machismo, you’d think they’d wear an occasional shirt or something. I love wrestling, but I’ve never been a stickler for wrestlers only being considered legit pro wrestlers if they have the same standard, homoerotic cheerleader underwear. Some purists are dicks about this but I think it’s because they’re scared of change… and their true selves.

(ONE) PINK SLIPS
When someone loses their job it’s an unfortunate event. Why does it need to be symbolized by a pink piece of paper? Even in a metaphorical way, it makes no sense. When did the color pink become connected to someone being let go from their employment? Why not a blue slip? Why not a green sheet? This makes no sense.
