Top 4 Wrestlers That Should Retire

(FOUR) JEFF HARDY
I’ve never been a fan of Jeff Hardy. I know he’s well liked and I know he’s contributed to wrestling. I don’t even have to get into his legal and personal issues. The problem is that he never got any better. He got his push in wrestling because there were no faces left and he earned it by paying his dues. It wasn’t like he got better or started taking things more serious. It was just his “turn”. His matches are sloppy and crappy. He could perform A LOT better in the past. He’s really hard to take serious. I don’t think his heart is into it anymore. I don’t know for sure, but something is wrong there.

(THREE) TRIPLE H
I know this isn’t going to happen. Triple H is going to be on WWE until the day I die. I fully accept that he’s probably twenty years older than me, but he’ll still out live me by probably another twenty years. He’s a genetic freak and he owns the ball and the court. Why wouldn’t he show up? I’d be very content with him sticking to running the show from behind the curtain. Triple H seems to be overvalued in the history of wrestling. He wasn’t THAT great. Great? Sure, but he’s no Ric Flair, no Hogan, no Shawn Michaels, no Austin, no Rock, no Bret Hart, no Undertaker, etc...

(TWO) JERRY LAWLER
I know he works independent shows and make the occasional match appearance on RAW. I’m not against him doing local shows, but I can’t stand seeing Jerry Lawler wrestle in modern WWE. I despise the way everyone pity-sell’s his “manly punches”. They’ll sell it like Big Show and Mark Henry gave them their finishing moves. It takes me out of the show completely. I’m just worn out on him announcing on RAW and then having the handful of “special matches”. I’d also be interested in seeing him actually do something… ANYTHING else than commentate. Why does he have to commentate? Why couldn’t Jerry “The King” Lawler be the GM on Raw or Smackdown? He has the mic skills and personality.

(ONE) THE UNDERTAKER
I have nothing but respect for the old timers. It’s just sad to watch them way past their prime. Watching The Undertaker slowly and painfully try to work a match is most likely more painful for us to watch. This dud used to be bad ass and put on some great moments in wrestling. I don’t want to see crowds giving him pity pops. You HAVE to cheer for Undertaker, but outside of matches against Shawn Michaels what has he really done in the past three or four years? He’s slow and worn out. It reminds me when Terry Funk was in ECW, but at least Funk could ride the “crazy old man” thing. Taker as the “dead old man walking” is depressing. His entrances used to take ten minutes because of the aura and spectacle. Now they’re slow because he needs a walker. I know I sound harsh, but it’s aggravating. He deserves to go out with the same dignity and respect that he has earned by making himself so worn down to begin with. I’m really hoping he puts it all on the line in his last match or at VERY most two matches. I’m excited for the closure. It just needs to happen before Undertaker’s matches resemble Bret Hart’s performance against Vince at Mania a few years back. RIP… Remember, the “R” stands for rest!
