4 Facts: Jason Biggs

(FOUR) AMERICAN TEEN
In 1999 Jason Biggs pie-humped his way into American history. Everyone is guilty of being quick to point out his scene in American Pie with the “warm apple pie”. The scene is just THAT memorable. I don’t think we’d be talking about it at all if he hadn’t had carried this comedy franchise. As the lead we follow him and his friends on their journey from dumb ass teenagers to not-quite-as-dumb ass young adults. I know the ensemble cast is amazing, but he’s the anchor in this franchise. They got three movies out of it before going for the low-budget cash grabs on the namesake. The movies aren’t life changing or anything, but they’re not bad at all and can be respectfully enjoyable. I partied one New Years at a house on the same block as the house in Part 2! Yeah!

(THREE) ROOTS
He grew up in New Jersey to a normal life. His dad was a manager at a shipping company and his mom was a nurse. In high school he played sports like tennis and wrestled. He’s NOT Jewish. For some reason he’s cast as a Jewish person, but he’s actually Italian. While growing up he was into acting early. He took on a few television roles and even did As the World Turns. He did well at it, enough to get nominated for a daytime Emmy.

(TWO) INDIE CRED
Biggs didn’t stick with American Pie-type movies. He took on all sorts of interesting roles. He had a small role in Jersey Girl, Prozac Nation, Anything Else, and underrated comedies Loser, Lower Learning, and Wedding Daze. He’s been building a very respectable filmography with variety and stuff to really be proud of.

(ONE) TELEVISION STAR
In 2012 he will be doing the voice of Leonardo in the latest revamp of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That is bad ass. He’s done plenty of TV though. He got his start on As The World Turns, had seven episodes of Total Security, 1 ep of Off Centre, 1 ep of Frasier, 1 ep of Will & Grace, and he seems to pop up all the time. In 2011 he starred on Mad Love. The show didn’t pan out, but it’s only a matter of time he’s hooked into a perfect role for him. He’s just a solid hand.
