4 Random Dream Matches V.1

(FOUR) JBL VS. SHEAMUS
JBL could make a crowd cheer their asses off for cardboard cut-out of Hitler. It’s not that I think John Layfield is a bad person. He’s just really good at being bad. His over the top personality was one of the most underappreciated heels of all time. He was a very big part in getting John Cena, Eddie Guerrero, and others over as legit and I think people sleep on that. I can’t think of many people who’d benefit more from a JBL face rub than Sheamus. Sheamus is there… right there. He just needs that extra oomph to get to that main event plateau.

(THREE) DOLPH ZIGGLER VS. KURT ANGLE
Talk about an athletic performance. Kurt Angle is one of the best and most fluid performers in the ring. Everything he does just looks so natural and he can tell a good story in the ring. Dolph’s whole shtick has been “show off”. Angle has been showing off for years. The truth of the matter is that I feel like Dolph has more potential. They’re both so smooth in there and can sell the shit out of the simplest of moves. I’d love to see these two tell a story, throw each other around, and make each other look like a billion bucks. Dolph goes over in 35 minutes with a bridging German suplex.

(TWO) UNDERTAKER VS. BRIAN PILLMAN
Undertaker fought tons of crazy characters, but I don’t think many were nearly as crazy as “The Loose Cannon” Brian Pillman. The closest thing I can think of is Mankind, but even then Pillman was just a bit more controversial and intense. Mankind was like a horror movie character. Pillman was a villain from a psychological thriller. Seeing him cut promos trying to rationalize Taker’s antics would be cool. Seeing him get into the head of Taker would be something never really done before. I know they would have ran with the Pillman/Austin feud, but after that I think this would have been best for not only the two wrestlers, but the entire business. Imagine Pillman pulling a gun on Undertaker threatening to prove he’s mortal. Imagine Pillman threatening to piss on graves. In my brain, this feud would have been amazing.

(ONE) EDDIE GUERRERO VS. SHAWN MICHAELS
This was always a match I wanted to see. Eddie and Shawn were two of the best in ring performers of all time. If Eddie had more time in the main event I think he would have been held in the same high regards as a Bret Hart, Sting, or even Michaels or Jericho. Eddie was just so great in the ring. One of the only people I could really imagine going toe to toe with him is Shawn Michaels. I’d want to see a ladder match, an iron man, a cage, a best out of three falls, or really any stipulation. Regardless, a simple one on one match between Guerrero and Michaels could have and would have stolen ANY show it was on. I can’t imagine any match-up that’d have this much potential.
