Top 4 Chris Evans Movies

(FOUR) SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD
Is it fair to call this movie a “cult classic” ALREADY? I’m leaning towards “yes!”. Chris played the second “evil ex”. He’s a popular actor and pro skateboarder named “Lucas Lee”. He was just really over the top and brilliantly lame in this movie. He’s the first person I can ever think of to ever spontaneously combust while attempting a skateboarding feat.

(THREE) NOT ANOTHER TEEN MOVIE
People sleep on this movie. In the 2000’s there were PLENTY of really bad “parody” movies. It just went too far and ruined the genre for the time being. Sadly, the very few movies that didn’t absolutely suck were grouped into this. Not Another Teen Movie is one of those. It was cheesy and lame at times, but overall it had a coherent plot, some good gags, and had some signs of genuine humor. Basically, I’m saying it’s NOT “Date Movie” or “Meet The Spartans” or “Disaster Movie” or any of those shitty shit shits. Evans plays the stereotypical leading jock and does well with it.

(TWO) THE LOSERS
I don’t get why this movie didn’t get more love. During the summer of 2010 a lot of these ensemble action movies came out. Maybe it got buried in the A-Team/Expendables releases. I have no second thoughts in BOLDLY saying that The Losers was WAY better than The Expendables. The cast was fun and had personality. One of those personalities was Chris Evans playing the nerdy member of their crew. He’s very entertaining.

(ONE) CAPTAIN AMERICA
This movie exceeded any expectations I had for it. I didn’t know what I was getting into when I sat down with this movie, but I found myself very engaged in the story. It had charm, it had style, it had edge, and it not only kept my attention but it made me want more. Chris Evans proves here he is ready to be the leading man. I see no reason why he’s not getting cast in movies of all styles and genres. He proves he has the chops. The character “Captain America” seems to white-bread and bland on the surface. Sure it’s iconic and all, but the persona makes classic Superman look like a heroine using rock star. Chris Evans makes it work. It’s a classic character, but with a universal heart. If you’ve not taken the time to watch this movie yet, I don’t know what you’re waiting for.
