4 Random Dream Matches V.3

(FOUR) MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS vs. EDGE & CHRISTIAN
Half of this match could happen. Chris Saban and Alex Shelly were a bright spot in TNA for the past few years. They were a reason to watch if you wanted to see something both entertaining in and out of the ring. That’s a rare thing in that company. They remind me of the young Edge and Christian. Edge and Christian would both go on to have great careers, but their team was one of the all-time greatest. I imagine like a dozen really sharp looking drop kicks in this match. Don’t tell me you don’t too…

(THREE) “THE FRANCHISE” SHANE DOUGLAS vs. “THE GAME” TRIPLE H
I always felt the way Triple H carried himself when he was first getting over as a Main Eventer was his watered down impression of “The Franchise” Shane Douglas. Douglas carried himself as the cerebral, starting quarterback, asshole badass. Triple H did this phase as DX was fading down. I’d argue it went “Rich Snob to DX to Shane Douglas to Ric Flair to Super God.” That’s the Triple H evolutionary chart. I’ve always been a Douglas fan. I think this would be a great match. It would be like the varsity quarterback taking on another varsity quarterback from bigger school.

(TWO) DANIEL BRYAN vs. MR. PERFECT
How could this match NOT be insane? I know people like to call him by his given name of Curt Hennig, but to me he’s always going to be “Mr. Perfect”. He was one of the best wrestlers to never get the World Title. I wasn’t his biggest fan or anything, but he was pretty kick ass. Daniel Bryan’s athleticism and submission skills could only be matched by a few people. Perfect is in the same situation. They’re alike enough to be able to complement each other, but different enough to have some good conflicting contrast.

(ONE) SHAWN MICHAELS vs. AJ STYLES
To be specific, Shawn Michaels of around 1995ish. AJ Styles has been a great talent in TNA for years. Because of this, he has missed out on wrestling a lot of great WWE match-ups. The biggest one is AJ vs. HBK. They’d probably get along REALLY well now, but I’d like to see the cocky asshole HBK from the 90’s go against the “Phenomenal” AJ Styles of a few years ago. This would be an extremely athletic and exciting match. Both were amazing wrestlers that could do just about anything in there. While both of them are smaller and did innovative high flying work for their time, they could still actually wrestle and tell a story like very few others.
