(FOUR) AMY SCHUMER
This is probably the least likely to happen. Schumer is just hitting that stride where she’s getting more and more television spots. She’s becoming more recognizable and I’d think she’d get cast as main support or even a lead on a show soon enough.
(THREE) CHELSEA PERETTI
I’d love to see Chelsea Peretti on the show. She has a certain realness to her that the show needs. I don’t mean that the current females are weak, but they feel a bit theatric. Peretti has worked the road doing stand up and is hilarious. She seems witty as hell. In interviews and discussions she has the best answers to everything. I don’t know if she acts though, but she’s funny for sure.
(TWO) LITTLE ESTHER POVITSKY
Little Esther is probably the less “polished” of these awesome female performers. She’s gotten out there on the road, on podcasts, and on some skit stuff. She has a really fun demeanor that would add a lot to the show. She’s probably a few years away from being on her A-game, but why not take the risk and let her develop on the show? I’m for it.
(ONE) MORGAN MURPHY
Morgan Murphy looks like a time traveler from the 70’s who missed their audition for the original cast. I’m sure it’s just an appearance thing. The hippy-chic styled skinny frame and big hair thing instantly makes me think of Lorainne Newman, Gilda, and Jane. Basically, the white villain woman in any Judy Greer movie. I’ve done all of this rambling and forgot to mention how awesome she is. She’s hilarious. She’s mainly known for her writing, but the standup spots I’ve seen of hers have been hilarious. She’d be a great cast member, but an even greater Weekend Update person.
