4 Things NBA Needs From The 90s

(FOUR) CODY RHODES VS. KEVIN SULLIVAN
This would be a battle of the “Napoleon Complex” for sure. Kevin Sullivan wasn’t as tall as the other guys around him, but his was a bad ass and held his own. His crazy demonic persona was really ahead of its time. He’s later years in WCW were a little fuzzy, but all in all he has a great career. Cody is coming into his own. He has all the potential in the world. He has “name value”, but he’s pushing forward despite his height limitations much like Sullivan did.

(THREE) RICK RUDE VS. DANIEL BRYAN
Rick Rude was one of the best midcard WWF talents of all time. Daniel Bryan is creating an impressive lineage of his own. Rude’s moves looked great. A lot of times you have to dispend belief because moves look weak. Rude was always spot on. On top of that he sold like a champ. This is the same stuff that can be said about Daniel Bryan.

(TWO) WILLIAM REGAL VS. RODDY PIPER
Regal and Piper are two of the best personalities of all time. They just have intense ring presence that makes it hard to tune them out. I feel Regal is better and is surely a better in ring performer, Roddy Piper had more fame and success. I think it’s the timing of their runs though. If Regal had been in the WWF in the early 80’s and had a run against Hogan and others he would have torn it up and made a crazy impact. It’s apples and oranges, but I think that’s what makes it such an interesting combo.

(ONE) CHRIS JERICHO VS. RANDY SAVAGE
Jericho and Savage would be a great match. Imagine a late 80’s Randy Savage taking on an early 00’s Chris Jericho in a thirty minute classic. These two are two of the greatest of all time. They’re both awesome athletic wrestlers and great storytellers. I’m fairly certain this match could steal any show it was on. We could get creative and make it an “Iron Man” match, or a “2 out of 3” or a “Cage”. I’d rather see a straight up one on one, standard match. They wouldn’t need the added gimmick at all. I’m not sure who’d win the match in the ring, but Savage’s rap album is better than Fozzy for sure.
