(FOUR) BRIAN SCALABRINE
There is no way Scalabrine doesn’t land the biggest free agent contract of all time. This man averages more high fives than ANY other playing in NBA history. Despite his huge accolades, he has only been in the NBA now for 11 years. He has plenty of time to stick around and contribute. In all seriousness, Scalabrine should be an assistant coach on the Bulls BUT I still think he brings a good leadership quality to a team.
(THREE) NATE ROBINSON
It feels like Robinson is really underrated. During the off season I’ve not heard all that much about him. He averages over 11 points a game, almost 1 steal, almost 3 assists, 2.5 boards, and is one of the more consistent players in the league. He has bounced around over the past three or so years, but once he settles in somewhere and finds some chemistry then he’ll be a solid All-star quality guard.
(TWO) DEREK FISHER
Fisher is up there in years, but is still one of the best position players out there. Fisher doesn’t just bring his solid stats, but he brings a certain leadership and experience that just can’t be bought. He got his share of jewelry while playing with the Lakers and then just recently had a solid run with the West Coast champs, Thunder. The dude is just a great contributor and would be a great asset to any young contender’s locker room.
(ONE) TIM DUNCAN
I don’t see Tim Duncan going anywhere. He’s one of those loyalist old school types that will most likely play his entire career with the same team. Still, he’s an unrestricted free agent. How interesting would it be for him to go elsewhere? Imagining Tim Duncan in a different jersey would be weird, but it’s fun to hypothetically think about. He’s going into the last year or few for sure. With San Antonio still being one of the more dominate teams in the west I don’t see him going anywhere. If anything, San Antonio should attempt to add one of others on this list to work with him.
