(FOUR) PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN
He shows up in two of these pirate movies. These movies make a lot of money and are seen by a lot of people. Nighy brings class to every role he takes and this is no exception. He’s Davy Jones! I never got into this franchise, but from what I’ve seen his character looked really cool.

(THREE) SHAUN OF THE DEAD
In this one, Nighy plays “Phillip”, Shaun’s step dad. There is animosity between the two. Shaun just doesn’t like him. Eventually Phillip and Shaun have a bonding moment… right before Phillip turns to a zombie!

(TWO) UNDERWORLD
I never expected that I’d get into this franchise. I saw the first few minutes of the first movie and couldn’t get into it. A few years later, I’ve seen the entire franchise at least twice. A good reason I actually got into it was the character “Viktor”. The movie had this futuristic Matrix-like vampire race, but he kept it old school.

(ONE) LOVE ACTUALLY
Love Actually is an underrated movie. A lot of non-rom-com fans out there have watched and tolerated it. There is a few good stories that go on, but this one is one of the best. Bill Nighy plays “Billy Mack”, an old rock and roll star. He’s not that famous anymore and he’s grown quite grumpy. He’s really unlikable, but still has charm. He’s stuck recording a Christmas single as a last resort for his career. He eventually finds his heart and his song goes to number one on the charts. Woo hoo!
