4 Reasons I Hate Pro Wrestling V.8

(FOUR) BITTER OLD MEN
When a wrestler retires he can go a few ways. He can be gracious and cool, he can work the indies and embarrass his legacy for $10 a pop indie shows, he can move on to a new career, or they’ll become bitter old men. They’ll hold on to old personal grudges and bitch whenever they get a chance. How many old timers still bitch about Vince McMahon? People hate Hogan, people hate Triple H, and people hate everyone. It’s sad. You see a broken down old man bark out the same sentences of hate towards someone for years. Nothing EVER gets resolved. People just die.

(THREE) CAREFUL CHAIR SHOTS
I don’t want anyone to get hurt, but I don’t want my intelligence hurt either. Are we supposed to believe that in the midst of a heated war that a wrestler will adjust the chair they’re swinging before swinging it. The worst part is when they’ll give shitty hits to the back instead of trying to murder them with a head shot. I fully understand why this is done and respect it. It just takes me out of the moment at times. The same with the table spots. A wrestler will take the front panel off, remove the monitors, and THEN put someone through the table. It’s needed and I get why. It’s just something fans ignore too much.

(TWO) JINGOISTIC BEHAVIOR
I love America, but for my own reasons. I don’t need the same stuff said over and over again. Everyday doesn’t have to be 4th of July Parade to love your country. The problem is that people stick to the cliché’s and don’t form a real reason why. The same goes for the hate. If a foreign wrestler shows up, people will chant “USA! USA! USA!” at them. Why can’t a foreign wrestler be in the USA, appreciate it, but also love their homeland? I know it happens, but it takes a while to condition the crowd for it. Why?

(ONE) EMBARASSING MERCH
Wrestling fans wear the wrestling shirts. That’s one reason why the rest of the world can’t take us fans seriously. Have you see the shit they want us to wear? We’re all guilty of this. We get caught up in the wrestling world and develop our own tastes and levels of what we consider to be “cool”. Even the thing we think is the “coolest” in wrestling is more times than not the lamest thing to the outside world. The crossover is almost impossible. No matter how smarky your shirt is, you’re not cool. You’re just “that guy”. And trust me, “that guy” is not “the guy” you want to be.
