(FOUR) KURT ANGLE VS. DANIEL BRYAN
Kurt Angle used to be awesome. I never got behind his TNA stuff. His WWE stuff rocked, but his appearance is unsettling now. You know his body is torn up and the drugs are there. Even if that’s not true, it’s uncomfortable. Still, for the few years he was around, he put on 5 star matches. Daniel Bryan is killing it right now. He’s the best wrestler out there right now. These two would put on a clinic. Take Kurt Angle from like 2002 and Daniel Bryan from now and let the world take notes.
(THREE) HULK HOGAN VS. SHEAMUS
This match just seems like it would have been a perfect match back in the day. Sheamus is a solid wrestler who could easily wrestle the old man 80’s style that Hogan has perfected. An evil Sheamus taking on Hulk Hogan would have been money. To top it off, imagine a Bobby Heenan or a Jimmy Hart at ringside. I’m not even excited about the match, but the idea of it makes so much sense that it has to be brought up.
(TWO) A.J. STYLES VS. KOFI KINGSTON
I’m a huge fan of both of these guys. To be perfectly honest, I think they’re about even. They’re outstanding performers who can have great matches in the right time. They’re consistently solid, and they’re weak in the personality department. For some reason these guys just can’t get into a character that works. The difference is that AJ is a big fish in a small pond so he’s gotten a chance to get the big belt, wrestle in the main events of the biggest shows, and get the rub of all the top talent. Kofi, just as great, is a smaller fish in a HUGE pond. He’s stuck in the mid-card world of wrestlers. When was the last time we saw Kofi vs. Cena or Kofi vs. Sheamus? Kofi needs to go heel, but in the meantime this “fantasy” matchup between Styles and Kofi would be stellar.
