(FOUR) ARE PSYCH MEDS ARE KILLING THE “BLUES” GENRE?
More and more people are getting depression and mental issues fixed and repaired by medications and treatment. On one hand, the world will be a more tranquil and zoned out place. On the other hand, emotions won’t be as raw as they once were. If no one is depressed then no one gets the blues. If no one gets the blues then the blues genre is done. I don’t even want to know what the ADHD meds are doing to punk music.
(THREE) WHY DO “WEIGH-INS” MATTER SO MUCH IN UFC AND BOXING?
I know weight divisions matter in these sports, but why is the “weigh in” ceremony such a big deal? I know these match ups don’t have promos and storylines so this is where a lot of the big “pre-match hype” comes from. It’s just a lame concept. It’s stupid that for the two fighters to have any chance to confront each other before a fight they have to get in their shorts and step on a scale. Why not book the “contract signing” or have a “face to face” or a “media day” or something… leave the scales at the doctor’s office. Give us something cooler and less clinical.
(TWO) WHEN CANCER GETS CURED WILL WE CHANGE THE ZODIAC SIGN?
I have faith in the medical world and in science. I think we’re getting closer to a cure for cancer every day. Eventually it’ll be here and the world will be a different place. Once cancer becomes a thing of the past will we still use the term so freely in society or will it become dated? Will we rename the zodiac sign? If my vote counts I think we should rename the cancer sign to whatever the cure to cancer is called.
(ONE) WHAT IS THE POINT OF FACEBOOK GAMES?
It’s gotten pretty passé to bitch and moan about people inviting you to play Facebook games. It’s an old adage and something I think we all just have to accept. It’s like junk mail, spam, infomercials, NASCAR, and internet memes. It’s just something we have to ignore and move on with our day from. My question is what is the point? Is there some kind of rewarding feeling from playing these games? Is there a prize? Is there anything other than personal pride on the line? I just don’t see what anyone is getting from wasting their time with this.
