4 Underrated Stables V.2

(FOUR) THE ORIGINAL NATION OF DOMINATION
Faarooq! Crush! D-Lo Brown! Clarence Mason! Kama Mustafa! These dudes were bad asses. It was militant group, but it started as a group of like-minded bad guys not like-colored. It made sense to make it an all-black group, but I think the group was at its most chaotic best when it was first around. Once The Rock and Ahmed Johnson got on board it started to feel like any other boring bad guy stable.

(THREE) NATURAL BORN THRILLERS
The WWE would basically do the same exact thing and call it NEXUS. The Natural Born Thrillers was seven young wrestlers from WCW’s Power Plant training facility. The company wanted to bring them in and give them a collective push right off the bat. It turned out Paul Orndorff trained them right because they were a pretty damn good group. Mike Sanders was the leader and was awesome on the mic and decent in the ring. He was joined by Chuck Palumbo, Sean O’Haire, Shawn Stasiak, Reno, Mark Jindrak, and Johnny the Bull. They were a really solid mid card shake up at the time. None of them were the best to hit the scene, but they added some freshness and provided some entertaininment.

(TWO) DUNGEON OF DOOM
This stable was a lot of fun. When WCW was going off the deep end and still clinging on to the cheese of the late 80’s and early 90’s, they had the stable of “Dungeon of Doom”. It was an old school group of over the top evil bad guys. Kevin Sullvian lead this group and it turned out it’s main focus was to destroy Hulkamania. I think Hogan destroyed Hulkamania on his own, but they sure as hell tried. Sullivan brought in EVERYONE to be in this group. He brought in Kamala, The Shark, The Zodiac, VADER!, Meng, The Yeti lol, Lex Lugar, Hugh Morrus, One Man Gang, The Barbarian, Loch Ness, Z-Gangsta! lol, Big Bubba, Konnan, and a slew of others. It was a “who’s who” of “what the fuck!” Eventually “The Giant” would be one of the last pieces and chapters of this group. He showed up to get revenge for “this father” Andre the Giant. Yeah… THAT happened. And it was amazing in a so bad it’s good kind of way.

(ONE) THE TRIPLE THREAT
I was a HUGE fan of ECW. One of the main reasons for that was the Triple Threat. “The Franchise” Shane Douglas was the man. He’d cut well-spoken and vulgar promos, he’d bust his ass in the ring, and he was the epitome of a huge fish in a small pond. When he was in a “larger pond” like WCW guys like Ric Flair were assholes towards him. His answer to Flair’s “Four Horsemen” was this kick ass group of three. It went through a few different incarnations, but my favorite was Douglas, Chris Candido, and Bam Bam Bigelo. Between these guys and the Nest, ECW had some really cool stables.
