4 Random Dream Matches v.16

BY MICHAEL GOODPASTER

(FOUR) RAZOR RAMON VS. RANDY ORTON
Razor Ramon was a bigger guy who could get in there and wrestle with the best of them. He and Shawn Michaels had great matches and he was one of the most solid performers the company had. For some reason he just never got his shot to run at the top. Orton is pretty much in the same boat, but he’s had more top runs. He’s a big guy, he’s over as hell, he can work with ANYONE on the roster but for some reason he’s never given the proper due. He also has an old school work style to him that I think would work well against Razor Ramon. The RKO vs. The Razors Edge? That would have been all sorts of spectacular.

(THREE) DOLPH ZIGGLER VS. BOOKER T
Booker T was ahead of his time. In WCW he was a great athlete and had an explosiveness to him that made him so fun to watch. He tore up the mid card and dominated for a long time. He’d consistently have great matches and do his thing for the TV and US Titles. Then finally the trigger was pulled and it was proven that Booker T was meant for the spotlight. He not only did well as Champ, but he was EASILY the best “post-nWo” champ in WCW. Dolph Ziggler is one of those guys that’s in the same boat. He’s been working his ass off and having great mid card matches. He’s just too undeniable to not be in the world title picture. A Booker T in his prime could easily hang with a Dolph of today. The potential of this match could steal just about any show.

(TWO) KANE VS. STING
Everyone ALWAYS talks about the “dream match” of Sting vs. The Undertaker. I would have enjoyed that match too, but no one ever considers the possibility of Sting vs. Taker’s “brother” Kane. Kane is a solid wrestler, but he’s great in well build “wars”. Everything you’d see in a Sting vs. Undertaker match would be in a Sting vs. Kane match, but it’d be faster, have more moves, and there’d be an open chance that anyone could win. Taker would never lose to Sting. Kane? Who knows! I like that surprise element of this one.

(ONE) RIC FLAIR VS. DANIEL BRYAN
How great would this match be? Ric Flair wasn’t the biggest guy, but he was so great and entertaining that he could carry the company. He could tell a story, he could get the crowd worked up, and he could make anyone look good in the ring. The same could be said for Daniel Bryan, but a few Flair charisma chromosomes switches the workrate chromosomes of someone like a Steamboat. I could imagine the chops back and forth. The Woo vs. The Yes! The Nature Boy vs. The Goat! A match like this could prove that he IS “The G.O.A.T.” Daniel Bryan… That’s the “Greatest Of All Time”. Woo + Yes = Wow. It’s simple math.
