"Ten Causes to Care For"

BY KAY-ELLE DASH

In the next 10 weeks my blog will be dedicated letting you know a little more about familiar charities or informing you about some that you never new existed.

Why should you care? Because of one simple fact that unites us all. You are human. And as awesome you think you are and as great as a doucher you can be, step outside you for a moment and give a care. No matter what you think, you would want help in the same situations and no matter how financially secure you think you are disease and disaster can happen to anyone. Pay it forward and do something nice in hope that some other ass will wake up and decide to care about humanity and help you.

The following is a list of charities we will take a closer look at:

World Vision International
American Red Cross
National Alliance to End Homelessness
American Indian College Fund
Child Find of America
Global Hunger Project
National Kidney Foundation
Operation: Christmas Child
Habitat for Humanity
Greater Hope Foundation

Todays:
World Vision International

World vision international is a Christian humanitarian organization that thrives on helping families, women and children and their communities to assist them in living cost to help abolish poverty and injustice world wide. WV doesn’t just give them money, they set up educational means to teach them how to farm, give them education, and help them find ways to become self sustainable to help improve the lives of poor children and families.

I like this organization because it isn’t just about “sponsoring a child” (which you can for $35 a month – that just giving up your venti starbucks) you can give money to a fund to bring clean water to families; they assist in the fight against aids; as well as feeding hungry children.

If you’re weary to give to one of these sorts of organizations because you don’t know where your money is going then high five to WV, they are part of the better business bureau’s “wise giving alliance charity.” As well as a few Christian business organizations. In fact if you want to know how much of your money goes to helping children WV displays this information at the bottom of their page. A whopping 85% goes to the living needs of children. I think 10% for advertising and 5% for administration is acceptable; people in America need money to live too. And if you check out the administration none of them are living like bill gates which is awesome because this means they aren’t taking more then they need which shows they are really going about it the Christian way.

To sponsor a child, give a one-time donation, or look up ways to help including donating your time to this A+ charity follow this link: www.WorldVision.org

POP QUIZ: again, why should you care? Because you’re a human & you’d want help to and for what it matter I leave you with this (as it matter greatly to me)
“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’
“Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’
“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters you were doing it to me!”
