"American Red Cross"

Salutations! It’s not new, if you’re an American you have heard of the American Red Cross. In past catastrophic tragedies this organization has gotten a bad rep, but in no way should a mostly for nothing charity be expected to be as large as FEMA

Since 1881 the American Red Cross has been dedicated to relief efforts in times of emergency. What better way to describe its services then its own that can be found on the website, “As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering.

Today, in addition to domestic disaster relief, the American Red Cross offers compassionate services in five other areas: community services that help the needy; support and comfort for military members and their families; the collection, processing and distribution of lifesaving blood and blood products; educational programs that promote health and safety; and international relief and development programs.”

In addition to all the reliving they offer some pretty nifty class that you can take for a fee that certify you in many areas such as CPR, swimming, lifeguarding, etc. (which. Btw, the teachers aren’t paid… it’s all volunteer efforts!)

A near 4,000,000 give blood a year to the organization who in return supplies blood and blood services to military victims – not just our soldiers but even people on the opposing side that have been injured. And if all of that isn’t commendable, they also assist (not lead, but assist) in national organ donation services.

But where does your money go? 91 cents on the dollar goes to funding humanitarian services and programs. That leaves 9cents to salaries? NO! Those 9 cents is distributed between meager wages, advertisement, and other things like shipping & transportation for programs and services.

So when you donate money it’s more than mostly all going towards a cause

And when you donate blood its going anywhere across the world to save a life

And if you can’t be down with life, you shouldn’t have one.
