A quick work from your favorite female (or at least i better be!)
It’s finally here. I’m being cut open. My kidney is coming out the 23rd of THIS MONTH!
I will be taking you through the process & hopefully pictures are soon to come!
Tuesday: 6pm. Call from northwestern. Told it’s soon. Very soon. TWO WEEKS soon. Schedule testing & pre surgery day.
Wednesday: FREAK OUT! I’m being cut open. What if i don’t wake up? What if there’s a surgical error. What if my kidney ends up killing its new body? What if my kids need one? What if my husband needs one? Realize, in the end, this earth body will fade away into nothingness... why waste a good kidney
Thursday: Get DRINKY! Like serious drinkage. DRINKY drinky. Won’t be able to for a loooooooooooooong time after. With one kidney i will also probably become a light weight (that’s okay as long as i am still inept of hangovers).
Friday: Begin the day by collecting all my urine in an empty purified water jug - why? Because they told me to... i hope someone mistakes it as apple juice! (For the record... i pee'd three fourths of a gallon before 6pm!)
Tomorrow: Arrive at northwestern at 7:30 am to begin a long day of testing
