I think it’s pretty clear that the name “Your Highness” will make some stoners laugh and this movie will be a popular choice to watch come 420. But still, how can anyone not want to see this movie? This movie was written by McBride and Ben Best, the dudes who brought us Fist Foot Way and Eastbound & Down. Unless they decided to stop being funny all of a sudden then this movie should be hilarious at worst and amazing at best. McBride is one of the funniest dudes out there today and despite me personally thinking fantasy movies are lame, I’m excited for this one. The cast is pretty awesome. Say what you want about James Franco, but the guy is living it up right now. While others are out there getting into legal problems and causing chaos, he gets made fun of because he likes doing a lot of things. One of those things he’s always been good at is comedy. He and McBride had good chemistry in “Pineapple Express” and it’s apparent here just by the trailer. Then we add on Natalie Portman and Zooey Deschanel as the female leads and it’s good to go. For some reason Zooey isn’t getting nearly as much trailer or promo love than Portman. This is a comedy, Zooey is the vet here. Whatever though. For all I know that’s because she’s only in it for a minute or something.
