I loved it when they went to White Castle. I enjoyed when they were stuck in Guantanamo Bay. Now it’s Christmas. I dunno, man. I dunno. Being a slacker stoner in my 20’s I enjoy the hell out of these characters and their thoughts on life. I’m just worried they’ll dilute the characters. Sequel after sequel often has that faded carbon copy effect. Still, I respect the idea of a trilogy and if the makers and powers that be truly feel the story isn’t over then who am I to get in the way of that. They could make a dozen movies and I’m sure I’d still keep watching so they know what they’re doing. People are loyal to their stoner comedy. The proof of that is the career of Tommy Chong. Harold and Kumar ARE the new Cheech and Chong. That’s obvious as anything. The storyline here is that both guys have moved on with their lives and are in their own worlds. They come back together in a search for the perfect Christmas tree… hilarity is to ensue. The trailer looks funny and they really go at it with the 3D stuff. I can already envision the shots where they “pass the audience a joint” and boobs… and then probably some gross out humor (girls farting, trimming pubes, cock sandwich). I know this going in and so should you. This movie is NOT going to change your life, but it won’t make it any worse. I’m looking forward to this one.
