These movies aren’t typically on my radar. I’ll end up seeing thrillers eventually, but I rarely ever anticipate one or put a whole lot of effort into seeing one. This one caught my eye because of the movie poster. It’s just weird and unsettling. It’s wallpaper with the creepy little girls wearing the same upholstery and holding hands. I just can’t look away. Well done, art department. The movie stars Daniel Craig, who I can honestly say has never stood out to me or has been in a movie that made me even remember it, Naomi Watts, and Rachel Weisz. The trailer got my attention. I find movies that have the whole “is this real or not real” meta acknowledgement. It’s surreal and it’s a head trip. This movie looks pretty interesting and not as hokey as some of these movies. I really enjoyed “Orphan” a while back and this looks to be in the same ballpark. I don’t think I’ll go out of my way to see this anytime soon, but if the occasion arises I’ll be open to it.
