[BLOG]PREVIEW:REVIEW
New Year’s Eve
11.12.11
BY MICHAEL GOODPASTER

Remember that movie called “Valentine’s Day” a few years ago? It had a lot of people in it doing short segments involving random romcom situations. I watched it and I forgot everything about it except that George Lopez was in it. It was very forgettable to me. In comparison to something in the same ballpark, “He’s Just Not That Into You” was better. Still, it had to have done well enough to merit a sequel. Garry Marshall is directing this one too. This time we have another all-star cast doing segments that come together under one big theme of it being New Year’s Eve. Fine. Whatever. The cast is solid as can be so I’ll watch it on that reason alone. We have De NiRo, Seth Meyers Michelle Pfeiffer, Carla Gugino, Ashton Kutcher, Alyssa Milano, Sienna Miller, Russell Peters, Sofia Vergara, and plenty more. There are people on the cast that turn me off too. I don’t want to see Katherine Heigl, Jessica Biel, Sarah Jessica Parker, Ludacris, Hilary Swank, and a few others. This movie isn’t my cup of tea, but it’s still within a reason enough realm of what I’ll usually enjoy. I’ll watch this… eventually… Just someone please tell Garry Marshall to stop! Please! Do something else!
