[BLOG]PREVIEW:REVIEW
Young Adult

Since Juno Jason Reitman has had success with Up In The Air. It was nominated for a million Oscars. He’s done some producing as well, but now it’s back doing something with Diablo Cody. Diablo Cody saw her next effort, Jennifer’s Body flop hard. Then after three seasons her TV series “United States of Tara” was canned. I make it sound way worse than it is though. “Tara” was a really decent show and Cody’s blogs are always fun. Shit happens. She keeps going so that’s cool. But yeah… Reitman is back working with Cody. A certain something about the trailer comes off like it’s still in the same world as “Juno”. That’s not a bad thing really, but it IS something worth noting. In this movie we have Charlize Theron who writes books for teenagers moving back home to hook up with her old high school love. Dude is married and she’s obviously having a big melt down. We also get Patton Oswalt in the supporting guy role. It’ll be obvious that he’ll like her or something. I cringe at the potential cliché just waiting there. I hope I’m bitch slapped with a surprise or twist, but my expectations for this movie are nothing more than coming of age pop-banter. I hope for more, but I don’t want to get my hopes up too high. I DO want to see this and will as soon as possible. I just have my reservations about it.
