[BLOG]PREVIEW:REVIEW
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
12.17.11
BY MICHAEL GOODPASTER

For the past few years I’ve been told by friends and reviews that I should see The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo… the original foreign one. The style, the characters, and just basically the movie is something people would say is “right up my alley”. I just never got around to it. I’m not going to lie. I think it was the subtitle situation. I’m not a complete shmuck. I DO occasionally watch films with subtitles, but I just wasn’t looking forward to reading a movie that I’m supposed to really enjoy. Then Hollywood decided to remake it… American style! David Fincher, one of the best directors alive, is behind the camera while Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, and others star. I love me some Fincher, but I’m weary on Daniel Craig. I’ve just never been excited to see him in anything. He’s okay for what he does, but there is still something distant to his screen presence. Still, I remain optimistic. Fincher enlisted Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to attack the soundtrack and from what I’ve heard it’s awesome. The music and the direction are two things I’m excited to see about this movie. Hopefully everything else falls into place. Expect an actual review ASAP…
