Celebrity Drunk Twittering

I think celebrities should all come together and put a stop to “Celebrity Drunk Twittering”. “CDT”, as most call it, is a common disease among celebrity folk that are drunk, bored, attention craved, or all of the above. CDT affects some really cool people, but at the same time you have to question their coolness once they start showing symptoms of CDT. They’ll start either opening up a little too much about something. They’ll push the envelope a little more than usual. They’ll get wasted and go crazy. The next day they have only a few choices. They can man-up and accept the responsibility for the words they typed in a drunken haste OR they can go the easy route. The easy route washes ones hands of any wrong doing with a simple statement of “I was hacked”. John Mayer used Twitter like a cheap slut and took it for all it’s worth. He burnt it out, said too much, and had to move on from the social networking trend. People didn’t seem to mind though because one by one folks are finding themselves with serious cases of this CDT. In wrestling we had Kurt Angle go on REALLY lame tangents about WWE wrestlers using the “ankle lock”, a move he adopted as his main finishing move. The difference is that he didn’t create this move and he has no jurisdiction over its use. He complained about it and got tons of negative feedback. He then back pedals and says he got hacked. Like a month later he uses the finishing move of the guy who used his move as some sort of unwatched retort. No one cared and by that point everyone had already collectively agreed that Angle was dumb. It goes on with Matt Hardy trying really hard to be relevant with obscure stunts. Then there’s the whole area of social network mishaps that seem to always involve like 5 random pervy pictures. A celeb’s phone gets “hacked” and then the pictures “leak” and there is “news” about it for like 2 days. These celebrity type people want you to think “we’re all the same”, but we are NOT. These people have no sense of self respect and will do ANYTHING for some extra attention. Talent need not apply. In fact, if you have any talent you should just give it up and start a twitter war with Perez Hilton or Jay Mohr. I even read that a politician recently showed heavy signs of “CDT” so please keep your celebrities safe! Spayed and neutered too while we’re at it!
