If you adjust a little, it works and you can still hear some commentary, the crowd, and the bump sounds. This is a horror of dealing with old VHS tapes. I suppose it’s good that I’m transferring these over to some form of digital copy before these tapes turn to ash or something. Sorry about that, but it’s still definitely worth checking out. *)
This one had some decent build up and a cool backstory. Tank and Wylde were both in The Establishment, an evil group of bad guys. The group broke up, but they stayed together to tag team. This failed and they fought. Tank became a good guy and Wylde continued to be hated. Tank teamed with Ebner and Wylde with Justin Vega. This tag match didn’t work out any scores so there were two single matches made. Vega and Ebner in a Tables Match and Wylde and Tank in a Taped Fist Match. I don’t think I can name more than one or two taped fists matches without looking it up so I don’t know how they’re supposed to go. This is an okay match though. My personal highlight is at the end with one of my long time friends in wrestling PLEDGE JONES makes his one and only MEW appearance. He comes in and beats the shit out of Tank after the match. Pledge was known for being crazy and synonymous with hardcore wrestling. The first time I saw him he went through barbed wire, rat traps, plugged in light tubes, spinning floor fans, and thumbtacks. That always left an impression. I wanted him in MEW from day one in some capacity. I don’t know how he’d of fit in persae, but he was around enough for me not to be too upset about it. His support was always appreciated. He and Tank would have killed each other.
