If you adjust a little, it works and you can still hear some commentary, the crowd, and the bump sounds. This is a horror of dealing with old VHS tapes. I suppose it’s good that I’m transferring these over to some form of digital copy before these tapes turn to ash or something. Sorry about that, but it’s still definitely worth checking out. *)
The Iowa Joe/Mike Menace vs. Vanilla Shakes match here is pretty fun and entertaining. The Los Mexicanos are just kind of there. I don’t really feel like they took MEW seriously. They just didn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the roster outside of the Team Dammit and Windy City Wrestling guys at the time. Things just didn’t mesh. I never had any hard feelings against them and I have no idea if they didn’t like me. I honestly don’t care. The real story here is the fun match by the younger guys. Iowa Joe and Mike Menace were getting a good rhythm together and the Vanilla Shakes could have been a huge Chicago team if they had stayed together longer. Their hard work paid off because this is one of the better and more underrated tag matches I’ve come across.
