If you adjust a little, it works and you can still hear some commentary, the crowd, and the bump sounds. This is a horror of dealing with old VHS tapes. I suppose it’s good that I’m transferring these over to some form of digital copy before these tapes turn to ash or something. Sorry about that, but it’s still definitely worth checking out. *)
In the early days of MEW matches got put together purely for shits and giggles. Basically, it was “these two would be interesting together… What, no storyline? Who cares! Let’s do it!”. Cyanide was being groomed to be a Main Eventer in MEW and Eric Marx was really just starting to establish himself within MEW. Both would have better matches in MEW, but this one isn’t that bad. It’s a little reckless in some areas and some parts throw common sense and psychology out the door. Still, I liked it. It’s like a high spot match. Cyanide hits all his big power moves and Marx gets in a lot of his flippity-do-das. Wrestling matches don’t have to be perfect to be entertaining. This kind of match proves that.
